J & D Civil Engineers was involved with the Hale YMCA from the initial planning stages through final design and construction. We analyzed several different lot configurations within the proposed Quinebaug Regional Industrial Park to maximize site utilization and minimize costs.

Design

Final site design included parking, drainage, water, sewer, storm water management and permitting.

Construction

Access to the site required construction of a new bridge over the Quinebaug River and a new road with new utilities. J & D engineers coordinated with the bridge designers and road designers. J & D survey crew performed building stake out, pinned the footings and laid out the structural steel.
